Pointe Royale — STR suitability
Pointe Royale is one of Branson's longest-established nightly-rental communities — a gated golf and condo resort off Hwy 165, minutes from the 76 strip and Table Rock Dam, with Lake Taneycomo access. Its condos are approved for nightly rental and have a long, proven track record; single-family homes in the community are NOT approved for short-term rental, so confirm the unit type before underwriting STR income. Pointe Royale is inside Branson city limits, so an operating STR needs the city's annual short-term-rental license and collects the 4% Branson tourism tax plus applicable sales tax. Dues are easy to underestimate: properties carry both HOA and COA dues, plus a mandatory golf assessment that does not by itself grant golf-course access (course play requires a separate membership). Dues vary by unit — confirm the current stack and rental registration with the POA/COA offices.
